Portrait of Dr. Eimear Ryan, primary instructor

    Dr. Eimear Ryan

PhD in Musicology | lead Instructor

Eimear believes in making complex theory accessible and enjoyable for all students. With over fifteen years of experience teaching at university level and directing the Dublin Early Music Festival archives, she brings a depth of historical context to every lesson.

Her workshops are not mere lectures; they are interactive excavations of musical scores, designed to ignite a passion for the structural beauty hidden within the page.

"Finally, reading sheet music doesn't feel like a secret code."

    Dominique A.

The atmosphere at Lyra's Folio is scholarly yet welcoming. Taking the Intermediate Harmony course changed how I listen to the radio, let alone my own performance. Dr. Ryan is a master of her craft.
